Lysozyme (LYZ) is a 14 kDa antimicrobial enzyme secreted by granulocytes, monocytes, and Paneth cells, where it contributes to bacterial cell wall hydrolysis and innate immunity. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com enables sensitive detection of human lysozyme in Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows, making it a useful reagent for studies of myeloid lineage differentiation, granulocytic infiltrates, and mucosal host defense. The 50 µL aliquot supports multiple experimental runs across blot or staining protocols. Researchers commonly apply polyclonal anti-lysozyme antibodies to characterize tissue sections of pancreas, gastric mucosa, and other lysozyme-rich epithelia, or to validate lysozyme expression in cell lysates by Western blot.
