This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes LYN tyrosine kinase when phosphorylated at tyrosine 192 (Y192), a site located within the SH2 domain that is implicated in regulation of LYN's signaling activity.

LYN is a Src-family non-receptor tyrosine kinase expressed prominently in hematopoietic cells, where it mediates B-cell receptor signaling, integrin activation, and downstream pathways governing proliferation, migration, and immune cell function.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of an unconjugated preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, and is validated for Western blot detection of the phospho-Y192 epitope in human, mouse, and rat samples.

Researchers use this reagent to investigate B-cell development, myeloid signaling, and the role of dysregulated LYN activity in chronic lymphocytic leukemia and other hematological malignancies, as well as phosphorylation dynamics in cell signaling studies.

The polyclonal format helps ensure robust recognition across species and reduces signal loss if the targeted phospho-epitope is partially masked by nearby residues or additional post-translational modifications.
