The Antibodies.com Anti-Lymphotoxin alpha Antibody [M42-5] is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 reagent raised against human LTA (also known as TNF-beta, TNFSF1), a 22 kDa secreted cytokine of the TNF superfamily produced primarily by activated Th1 lymphocytes, NK cells, and B cells. In Western blot applications, this antibody recognizes denatured target in human and rat cell lysates and tissue homogenates, yielding a band near the expected 22 kDa molecular weight of the mature secreted form. The unconjugated format allows researchers to pair the antibody with their own HRP, fluorophore, or biotin secondary reagents for custom detection chemistries, and the 100 µg liquid aliquot is supplied in a vial ready for dilution into blocking buffer. For best results, keep refrigerated and prepare single-use working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, protecting conjugated secondaries from light. This reagent is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
