Raised in rabbit against Lymphotactin (XCL1), the C-class chemokine involved in lymphocyte recruitment, dendritic-cell cross-talk, and the inflammatory cascade triggered at sites of immune activation. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide, pH ~7.2, and is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous XCL1 in lysates from human, mouse, and rat samples. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes gives broader coverage of conserved regions across these species and reduces the loss of signal that can occur when a single residue drifts between orthologues. Each vial contains 100 µl of ready-to-dilute antibody; titrate in blocking buffer or antibody diluent to match chemiluminescent, colorimetric, or fluorescence-based membrane detection platforms. For best stability, aliquot on receipt, store at -20°C, and limit freeze-thaw cycles, keeping working dilutions refrigerated and protected from light if a downstream fluorophore conjugate is added. Typical WB loading of 20-40 µg of total protein per lane under reducing conditions is sufficient, and the azide-preserved stock is suitable as a benchtop reagent for routine immunoblotting workflows.
