Anti-LRAT Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against lecithin retinol acyltransferase (LRAT), the enzyme also annotated as phosphatidylcholine–retinol O-acyltransferase that catalyzes the esterification of all-trans-retinol in the visual cycle. The immunogen is a synthesized peptide derived from the internal region of human LRAT, and the resulting IgG polyclonal detects endogenous levels of LRAT protein across validated assays. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at 1 mg/mL in a liquid PBS formulation containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide, and is unconjugated, leaving it suitable for both standard immunodetection and downstream reporter labeling by the end user. Verified applications include Western blot (WB), ELISA, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse, and rat samples, making the reagent useful for retinal, hepatic, and epithelial tissue studies where LRAT expression is relevant. For short-term transit the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity, and the reagent is intended for research use only and not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
