Anti-LPPR5 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified against the lipid phosphate phosphatase-related protein LPPR5 (alternatively called PRG5 or PAP2D), this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets a six-transmembrane-domain integral membrane ecto-phosphatase that is expressed predominantly in the central nervous system. LPPR5 has been linked to filopodia formation, dendritic spine morphogenesis, neurite outgrowth, and attenuation of LPA- and Nogo-A-driven neurite collapse through counter-regulation of the RhoA signaling pathway. Endogenous LPPR5 is abundant in the hippocampus and olfactory bulb and localizes to the bases of dendritic spines during a late phase of neuronal differentiation. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot and is validated for western blot analysis on lysates derived from human, mouse, and rat samples, providing flexibility to pair it with an HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary of the researcher's choice.
