Produced in rabbit against recombinant LPCAT4 immunogen, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as an unconjugated 100 µl liquid aliquot validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows. LPCAT4 (Lysophosphatidylcholine Acyltransferase 4) is an endoplasmic reticulum-resident, multi-pass transmembrane acyltransferase that catalyzes acyl-CoA-dependent remodeling of lysophosphatidylcholine into phosphatidylcholine as part of the Lands cycle of membrane phospholipid turnover. By reshaping the fatty-acid composition of cellular phosphatidylcholine pools, LPCAT4 contributes to membrane lipid homeostasis and has been studied in the context of lipid metabolism in hepatic tissue and tumor models. The reagent has been validated for detection of the human LPCAT4 protein; reactivity is reported for human samples, while cross-reactivity with mouse, rat, or other non-human species has not been established by the manufacturer and should be confirmed empirically before use on non-human specimens. Host species is rabbit, clonality is polyclonal, and the unconjugated format permits pairing with the user's chosen HRP-, biotin-, Alexa Fluor-, or other fluorophore-labeled secondary reagent for chemiluminescent, chromogenic, or fluorescence-based detection. Working aliquots should be refrigerated to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity across multiple experiments. Each vial is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or clinical applications.
