A rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody raised against LMX1B, supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated 200 µl vial for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. LMX1B is a LIM-homeodomain transcription factor that drives dorsoventral patterning of the vertebrate limb, organizes the glomerular basement membrane in the kidney, and specifies midbrain dopaminergic neurons. Heterozygous loss-of-function variants in LMX1B underlie Nail-Patella syndrome, and recent work has linked reduced LMX1B expression, plus polymorphisms in the gene, to Parkinson's disease, including a described role in autophagy-mediated stress protection of ventral midbrain dopaminergic neurons.

The reagent is validated on both human and mouse LMX1B, supporting cross-species comparisons in standard model-organism pipelines. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes is useful when probing expression across tissues or comparing isoforms, and the unconjugated format leaves downstream secondary labelling and amplification chemistry to the end user.

For handling, keep refrigerated during active use and freeze at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Thaw on ice, mix gently, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw events to preserve titre. For research use only.
