From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against LIPF, the gastric lipase enzyme secreted by stomach chief cells that initiates the digestion of dietary triglycerides in acidic gastric contents.
Each vial contains 100 µl of unconjugated IgG at 1 mg/ml, supplied in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide as a microbial preservative and 50% glycerol for freeze protection. Reported applications include western blot and immunohistochemistry, with reactivity demonstrated against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting detection of endogenous LIPF in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections from common laboratory models.
For routine use, refrigerate the antibody vial; for longer-term storage, aliquot into working volumes and freeze to limit freeze-thaw damage and preserve binding activity. The reagent contains sodium azide and should be handled with standard laboratory precautions.
