DNA Ligase IV (LIG4) is the catalytic core of the non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) machinery, the dominant pathway for repairing DNA double-strand breaks in mammalian cells. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated reagent, allowing flexible labeling for downstream detection.
It is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry applications and recognizes the endogenous LIG4 protein in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies across these species. Researchers investigating NHEJ, V(D)J recombination, genomic stability, or the DNA damage response can use this reagent to detect LIG4 expression in cell lysates by western blot or to localize it in tissue sections by IHC. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes, which can be helpful when probing post-translational modifications or splice variants of the target.
