Anti-LEPREL2 Antibody

This unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets LEPREL2, the protein also known as prolyl 3-hydroxylase 3 (P3H3). Raised in rabbit and purified as an IgG reagent, it is supplied in a 50 µl vial and is validated for western blot detection of the human and mouse protein.

LEPREL2 is an endoplasmic reticulum–resident enzyme that requires 2-oxoglutarate and Fe(II) for activity. It catalyzes 3-hydroxylation of proline residues on collagen propeptide chains, contributing to proper collagen folding and assembly. Variants in the LEPREL2 gene have been linked to high-grade myopia in genetic studies, and the antibody is commonly used in research on collagen processing, extracellular matrix biology, connective tissue development, and refractive error pathways.

Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent western blot workflows in cell lysates and tissue homogenates.
