Raised in rabbit against the H525 region of LEKTI (Lympho-epithelial Kazal-type-related inhibitor), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. LEKTI is encoded by the SPINK5 gene and acts as a serine protease inhibitor critical for epidermal barrier integrity. Loss-of-function mutations in SPINK5 cause Netherton syndrome, making anti-LEKTI antibodies useful reagents in dermatology and epithelial biology research, including studies of atopic dermatitis and skin barrier dysfunction.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. Store at 4 °C for short-term use; for longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity.
