Lefty is a secreted member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) family that functions as a feedback antagonist of Nodal signaling during vertebrate embryogenesis, and the Anti-Lefty Antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent validated for detecting this target. Lefty1 and Lefty2 isoforms establish left-right body axis asymmetry and restrict the spatial range of Nodal activity in the developing node and lateral plate mesoderm, while also modulating BMP signals in embryonic stem cell pluripotency and tumor microenvironments. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µl of liquid in a vial and supports western blot and ELISA workflows on human and mouse samples, used in developmental biology studies, stem cell differentiation protocols, and reproductive or oncology research focused on aberrant Nodal pathway activity.
