LDLRAP1 (Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor Adaptor Protein 1), also known as ARH, is a cytosolic adaptor whose phosphotyrosine-binding (PTB) domain couples the LDL receptor to clathrin-mediated endocytic machinery at the plasma membrane. Loss-of-function mutations in this gene cause autosomal recessive hypercholesterolemia, demonstrating its non-redundant role in hepatic clearance of circulating LDL cholesterol.

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation at 100 µl, validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples. To preserve antibody activity, the vial contents should be aliquoted to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Research applications include mapping cholesterol homeostasis, characterizing LDLR endocytic trafficking, and investigating the molecular basis of familial hypercholesterolemia, with detection of endogenous LDLRAP1 in cell lysates and in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
