Lipocalin-2 (LCN2), also known as NGAL or siderocalin, is a 25 kDa secreted glycoprotein implicated in iron homeostasis, innate immune defense, and acute-phase inflammation. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 100 µl vial of unconjugated Ig at approximately 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry across human, mouse, and rat samples. The reagent supports direct labelling or straightforward use as a primary antibody in standard immunodetection protocols. Researchers studying renal injury, epithelial stress responses, metabolic dysfunction, or tumor microenvironment signalling commonly deploy this reagent to monitor endogenous LCN2 expression in cell lysates and tissue sections. Storage at -20 °C in small working aliquots preserves activity and limits freeze-thaw damage to the preparation.
