This polyclonal rabbit antibody from Antibodies.com targets LATS1 (Large Tumor Suppressor Kinase 1), a serine/threonine kinase that acts as a core kinase of the Hippo tumor-suppressor signaling pathway. LATS1 phosphorylates the transcriptional co-activators YAP and TAZ, linking upstream cues such as cell density and mechanical tension to changes in gene expression, organ size control, and contact inhibition. Robust detection of endogenous LATS1 protein therefore underpins a wide body of research into cancer biology, tissue regeneration, and Hippo-pathway drug discovery.

The reagent is validated for Western blot and is reactive across Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, giving laboratories a single lot that supports comparative work in cell-line and primary-tissue models. Each vial is supplied as 100 ul of antibody at 1 mg/ml, formulated in PBS with 50% glycerol and 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative. For long-term retention of activity, the vial should be stored frozen at -20 degrees C, divided into single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; working aliquots may be kept refrigerated at 4 degrees C for short-term use. The antibody is unconjugated, allowing users to pair it with their preferred HRP, fluorescent, or biotinylated secondary reagents for chemiluminescent or multiplex readouts.

Produced in rabbits by polyclonal immunization and affinity purified against the LATS1 immunogen, each batch is screened to confirm consistent recognition of the target band in Western blot. Intended for research use only, in vitro studies of Hippo pathway activity, and downstream studies of LATS1-mediated phosphorylation events.
