Targeting the four-pass transmembrane lysosomal glycoprotein LAPTM4B, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG primary antibody from Antibodies.com is validated for Western blot analysis of human and rat samples. LAPTM4B resides in late endosomes and lysosomes, where it contributes to vesicle trafficking, autophagy regulation, and amino acid sensing through the mTOR pathway. Overexpression has been documented in hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer, lung adenocarcinoma, and additional solid tumor types, and elevated LAPTM4B levels have been correlated with proliferation, metastatic behavior, and reduced patient survival, positioning this lysosomal membrane protein as an active subject of oncology and cell biology research.

Supplied as 200 µl of polyclonal rabbit IgG, the reagent pairs with standard anti-rabbit secondary antibodies for HRP, fluorescent, or biotinylated Western blot detection. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes along the LAPTM4B sequence can yield a stronger signal on immunoblots than monoclonal alternatives, particularly when probing native or partially denatured lysosomal membrane fractions prepared from cultured cell lines or tissue lysates. The unconjugated format gives researchers flexibility to select the detection chemistry that best matches their chemiluminescence or fluorescence imaging workflow.

For short-term use, keep refrigerated and protect from light; for extended storage, aliquot and freeze the antibody stock to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the reagent. Intended for research use only.
