Lysosomal-Associated Membrane Protein 2 (LAMP2) is a heavily glycosylated transmembrane glycoprotein that resides in the limiting membrane of lysosomes and late endosomes. It contributes to lysosome maturation, autophagosome-lysosome fusion, and the chaperone-mediated autophagy pathway, and loss-of-function mutations in the LAMP2 gene cause Danon disease, an X-linked cardiomyopathy with vacuolar myopathy. Researchers probing autophagic flux, lysosomal storage biology, and cardiac or skeletal muscle pathology routinely examine endogenous LAMP2 levels as a marker of lysosomal mass and integrity.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.3. It is validated for Western blot (WB) and detects LAMP2 in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species studies in cell biology, neuroscience, immunology, and metabolic disease models. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes along the LAMP2 polypeptide, which can strengthen signal in denatured western blot workflows and reduce the impact of single-epitope loss during sample preparation.
