Anti-Lamin B1 Antibody

This primary mouse monoclonal antibody targets Lamin B1 (LMNB1), a B-type lamin that forms the nuclear lamina meshwork underlying the inner nuclear membrane. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µl of liquid and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation across Human, Rat, and Mouse samples.

Lamin B1 supports nuclear architecture, anchors heterochromatin at the nuclear periphery, and contributes to DNA replication and repair. Researchers commonly deploy it as a nuclear envelope marker when fractionating cellular compartments or normalizing nuclear extracts, and it serves as a senescence marker because LMNB1 levels decline during replicative and oncogene-induced senescence. The target has been investigated in adult-onset autosomal dominant leukodystrophy (ADLD), where LMNB1 gene duplication drives progressive demyelination, and in oncology, where its expression is frequently lost in tumor cells.
