Anti-Lamin B Receptor Antibody

Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal IgG and supplied as an unconjugated liquid formulation from Antibodies.com, this anti-Lamin B Receptor (LBR) reagent is raised against the integral inner nuclear membrane protein that anchors lamin B and heterochromatin at the nuclear periphery. The target is a ~68 kDa transmembrane sterol reductase, also known as DHCR14B, whose N-terminal Tudor domain binds heterochromatin-associated histone marks while the C-terminal region carries C14 reductase activity. Validated for Western blot, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence on mouse and human samples, the antibody is suited to studies of nuclear envelope assembly, chromatin organization at the nuclear rim, and the consequences of LBR mutations that underlie Pelger-Huët anomaly and Greenberg dysplasia.
