The Anti-LAMA4 Antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against laminin subunit alpha-4, a basement membrane glycoprotein that participates in laminin heterotrimer assembly and cell-matrix signaling. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, the antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human and mouse samples.

Laminin alpha-4 is expressed across epithelial, endothelial, and stromal compartments and has been studied in contexts ranging from cardiac development and dilated cardiomyopathy to tumor-stroma interactions and basement-membrane remodeling. Researchers therefore deploy this reagent to probe LAMA4 abundance and localization in tissue sections, to confirm expression in cell lysates, and to map subcellular distribution in cultured cells.

Because the antibody is polyclonal, it recognizes multiple regions of the target, which is useful when probing truncated isoforms or splice variants. The unconjugated format leaves the choice of secondary detection open, allowing HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-based reporting depending on the assay. For reproducible signal, standard practice is to titrate the antibody on a positive control known to express LAMA4 and to include an isotype control where appropriate.

Storage at 4 °C is suitable for short-term use; for longer intervals the antibody is aliquoted and stored at -20 °C to minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Each lot is intended for research use only and ships as a single-use vial sufficient for dozens of standard immunoblots or several hundred tissue sections, depending on dilution.
