Anti-Ladinin 1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal antiserum recognizes human Ladinin 1, a basement membrane zone anchoring-filament protein that tethers keratin intermediate filaments to the underlying lamina lucida in stratified epithelia. The reagent is supplied as a 100 µl volume and performs in standard immunoassay formats, including western blot, immunohistochemistry on paraffin and frozen tissue sections, and immunofluorescence staining of cultured keratinocytes and skin biopsies. Ladinin 1 is the autoantigen target of IgA-class antibodies in linear IgA bullous dermatosis and is also implicated in junctional epidermolysis bullosa, making the antibody useful for studies of dermal-epidermal adhesion, wound healing, and epithelial differentiation.
