Anti-L1CAM Antibody

Supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG, this Anti-L1CAM Antibody detects the L1 cell adhesion molecule (also called CD171), a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of roughly 200-220 kDa that is expressed on neurons and a range of tumour cells. Validated for western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry (ICC) on human samples, the antibody is provided as 100 µg of liquid formulation in a vial. For western blot, a predicted band near 200-220 kDa is expected for the full-length L1CAM protein. The target is widely studied in the context of neural development, axon guidance, and the L1 syndrome spectrum of neurological disorders, and is also used as a marker in oncology research on cell migration and metastatic potential. Store at -20°C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; allow the vial to equilibrate to room temperature before use.
