L-Selectin (CD62L) is a type I transmembrane C-type lectin expressed on most circulating leukocytes, where it mediates the initial rolling adhesion of lymphocytes and neutrophils on vascular endothelium during homing to peripheral lymph nodes and sites of inflammation. This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and recognizes the human, mouse, and rat L-Selectin ortholog, making it useful for comparative studies across rodent inflammation models and human hematopoietic samples.

Validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows, the antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid antiserum and can be paired with secondary reagents for chemiluminescent or enzyme-based detection. Researchers commonly apply anti-L-Selectin antibodies to characterize naive versus effector T-cell populations by flow cytometry staining of CD62L surface expression, to track neutrophil sequestration in ischemic or septic challenge models, and to probe leukocyte transmigration across high endothelial venules.

For immunoblotting, run reduced lysates of peripheral blood mononuclear cells or lymphoid tissue homogenates, or use the antibody to immunoprecipitate CD62L from cell-surface biotinylation experiments. Store the vial at -20 degrees C in small aliquots to preserve activity, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles that degrade polyclonal IgG preparations. Each lot is affinity-purified and QC-tested by Antibodies.com to confirm specificity for the L-Selectin target.
