This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the Kv7.1 voltage-gated potassium channel, also known as KCNQ1. Supplied as an unconjugated reagent at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the antibody is provided in a 100 µl vial volume.

Validated for Western blot (WB) detection of endogenous Kv7.1 in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, this reagent supports research into cardiac repolarization and long QT syndrome type 1 (LQT1), as Kv7.1 contributes to the slow delayed-rectifier IKs current in cardiomyocytes. The antibody is also relevant to epithelial ion transport studies, since KCNQ1 is co-expressed in kidney, inner ear, and gastrointestinal tissues.

Store refrigerated at 4 °C for short-term use, or aliquot and freeze at -20 °C for longer-term keeping; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Intended for research use only.
