Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal region of human KV1.1 (KCNA1) and is validated to detect endogenous levels of the KV1.1 potassium channel. The antiserum is produced in rabbit and purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, then supplied as an unconjugated liquid formulation at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. The 50 µl volume is recommended for storage at –20 °C, where it remains stable for up to one year, making it a practical choice for routine bench use. In western blot testing, the antibody produces clear bands on lysates from HeLa and K562 cells, and it is also recommended for ELISA applications, giving flexibility for both qualitative expression checks and quantitative immunoassay workflows. Cross-species reactivity covers human, mouse and rat samples, so the same vial can be used across the most common model systems and primary human material without switching lots. Researchers working on neuronal excitability, Shaker-type voltage-gated potassium channels or neurological disease models will appreciate the polyclonal format for broader epitope coverage. Each order is dispatched from Antibodies.com's St. Louis, MO facility with a 6–9 business day lead time, and the product is intended for research use only — not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
