Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent, this unconjugated primary antibody recognizes the Ku-70 protein, a 70 kDa subunit of the Ku heterodimer that participates in non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) and telomere maintenance. Antibodies.com supplies the reagent at 100 µl per vial, validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples.

Ku-70 functions alongside Ku-80 to bind DNA double-strand breaks and recruit downstream repair machinery, making this reagent useful for DNA damage response studies, genotoxicity screens, and investigations into genomic stability in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The unconjugated format supports flexible pairing with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-labeled secondary antibodies, enabling both chemiluminescence and fluorescence-based readouts.

For short-term use, keep the vial refrigerated at 4 °C; aliquot and freeze at -20 °C for long-term storage to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody activity. Each lot is affinity-purified from rabbit serum, with cross-reactivity confirmed against the Ku-70 ortholog in human, mouse, and rat specimens.
