A polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets the Ku-70 protein, an ATP-dependent DNA helicase subunit essential for non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) and double-strand break repair. Raised in rabbit, the unconjugated IgG is supplied as 100 µl in a vial and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows across human and mouse samples.

Ku-70 (also called XRCC6 or lupus Ku autoantigen) forms a heterodimer with Ku-80 at DNA break sites, recruiting DNA-PKcs to activate the DNA repair machinery. Researchers apply this reagent to study DNA damage response, genomic stability, V(D)J recombination, and apoptosis signaling pathways. The antibody detects endogenous Ku-70 in cell lysates by western blot, localizes nuclear expression in tissue sections by immunohistochemistry, and supports ELISA-based quantitation studies.

Recognition of both human and mouse Ku-70 supports work in cancer biology, autoimmune disease investigation, and radiation biology studies. Store the vial refrigerated at 4°C for short-term use, or aliquot and freeze at -20°C to preserve antibody activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
