This polyclonal antibody targets KTN1 (Kinectin 1), an integral endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein that anchors kinesin motors to vesicle membranes and supports microtubule-dependent cargo transport. The reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated preparation at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, delivered in a 100 µl volume per vial.

Validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human samples, the antibody recognizes endogenous Kinectin 1 in cell and tissue lysates. Researchers studying vesicle trafficking, ER architecture, organelle transport, or kinesin-mediated motility can use it to confirm expression, map subcellular localization, and probe interactions with microtubule-based motor proteins.

The polyclonal format yields epitope diversity across the Kinectin 1 sequence, broadening the chance of detection even when a single linear epitope is lost through fixation or denaturation. Aliquot the 100 µl vial upon first use to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, then store refrigerated at 4°C for short term or frozen at -20°C for longer retention of activity. The sodium azide preservative makes the solution unsuitable for live-cell or in vivo applications; protect working aliquots from light when the vial is in frequent use.
