Keratin 20 (KRT20), also called cytokeratin-20 or CK-20, is a type I intermediate filament protein expressed in gastrointestinal epithelium, urothelium, and Merkel cells. This unconjugated rabbit monoclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com, assigned clone #A11401, is validated for western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunoprecipitation (IP) workflows on human and rat samples.

KRT20 immunohistochemistry is widely used in surgical pathology and tumor diagnostics. Anti-KRT20 staining helps distinguish colorectal adenocarcinomas and other gastrointestinal tract tumors from non-GI primary sites, and it serves as a sensitive marker for Merkel cell carcinoma. It is also applied in identifying the tissue of origin for metastatic carcinomas of unknown primary.

The reagent is supplied in a 200 µl volume, allowing flexible dilution across multiple experimental setups. It is intended for research use only and supports detection of KRT20 in fixed tissue sections, cell preparations, and lysate-based assays.
