Anti-KRT17 Antibody

KRT17 encodes a type I keratin intermediate filament protein expressed in basal and suprabasal epithelial cells, hair follicles, and nail bed epithelium. Altered expression of this cytokeratin is well documented in psoriasis, pachyonychia congenita type 2 (caused by dominant-negative KRT17 mutations), and a spectrum of epithelial malignancies, where it serves as a marker of basal-like or triple-negative breast tumors and of squamous differentiation in cervical and oral lesions.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the native KRT17 target and is reactive across human, mouse, and rat samples. It is validated for Western blot detection of the approximately 48 kDa keratin band, for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections, and for immunofluorescence imaging of cultured cells and tissue cryosections.
