KPNA5 (Karyopherin Subunit Alpha 5, also called Importin α-6) is a nuclear import receptor that recognizes classical nuclear localization signals and shuttles cargo proteins from the cytoplasm into the nucleus. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a stabilizing cryoprotectant. The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, supporting work on nucleocytoplasmic transport, nuclear envelope biology, and signaling pathways that depend on regulated import of transcription factors and other karyophilic cargo. Each vial contains 100 µl of the polyclonal antiserum, and the glycerol-containing buffer permits storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw damage when aliquoted into working volumes before use.
