Affinity-purified polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit against the human KPNA4 nuclear import adaptor, supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated, ready-to-use primary antibody for basic and translational research. KPNA4 (Karyopherin Subunit Alpha 4), also referred to as Importin alpha 3, is a member of the importin-α family that recognizes classical nuclear localization signals and shuttles substrate proteins through the nuclear pore complex.

The antibody is validated across multiple immunoassays. In western blot it produces a band near the predicted molecular mass of KPNA4, and in immunofluorescence on cultured cells it yields nuclear envelope and cytoplasmic staining consistent with the protein's known trafficking between the cytoplasm and nucleoplasm. In immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections it supports tissue-distribution studies on human, mouse, and rat samples, making it useful for both cell-line work and animal-model experiments.

Researchers apply this reagent to questions in nuclear-transport biology, viral-host interaction studies, and tumor-cell signaling, where altered KPNA4 expression has been described in published work. Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, so it can be diluted directly into standard blocking buffers and stored at -20°C between uses.
