KPNA1 (Karyopherin Subunit Alpha 1), also referred to as Importin α5 or SRP1, is a nuclear transport receptor that recognizes classical nuclear localization signals and ferries NLS-bearing cargo through the importin α/β pathway into the nucleus. The unconjugated, rabbit-derived polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets a conserved region of KPNA1 and is supplied as 100 µl of antiserum in a single vial. It is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of nucleocytoplasmic trafficking, viral entry mechanisms, and KPNA1 expression in oncology and neurodegeneration models. For best results, refrigerate at 4 °C, aliquot on first use, and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody performance.
