Anti-KLK8 Antibody

This polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets Kallikrein-Related Peptidase 8 (KLK8), a secreted serine protease encoded within the kallikrein gene cluster on chromosome 19q. The antibody is produced in rabbit and supplied as a 200 µl vial validated for Western blot detection of KLK8 in human, mouse, and rat samples.

KLK8, also known as neuropsin or ovasin, has documented roles in hippocampal synaptic plasticity, learning-related memory processes, and keratinocyte desquamation in the epidermis. Altered KLK8 expression has been reported in several malignancies, including ovarian, breast, and gastric cancers, where it has been investigated as a candidate biomarker of tumor progression and invasion.
