Anti-KLK4 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the human KLK4 kallikrein-related peptidase, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets a serine protease implicated in enamel matrix degradation during amelogenesis and in extracellular-matrix remodeling across hormone-responsive tissues. KLK4 is a member of the tissue kallikrein family best characterized for cleaving enamel matrix proteins during tooth development, and in adult tissues it is expressed in prostate, breast, ovarian, and endometrial epithelium with androgen-regulated transcription in prostate carcinoma cells.

The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and has been confirmed reactive with human KLK4 in western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. Each vial provides 100 µl of antibody and supports detection of KLK4 in studies of epithelial differentiation, dental biology, and tumor-microenvironment remodeling in prostate and ovarian cancer models, where KLK4-mediated PAR-1 activation has been reported to promote invasion.

Aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated for short-term work; longer-term storage at -20 °C is recommended for the glycerol-stabilized solution. For research use only.
