Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal preparation, this unconjugated primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets KLK11 (Kallikrein-11), a secreted trypsin-like serine protease encoded within the human kallikrein gene cluster on chromosome 19q13. The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide as preservative and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant, packaged as a 100 µL vial intended for western blot applications.

The antibody recognizes endogenous KLK11 in human, mouse, and rat sample lysates, enabling cross-species expression studies. KLK11 is a member of the tissue kallikrein family and is expressed as two alternatively spliced isoforms: a shorter prostate-type variant and a longer brain-type transcript, the latter known as hippostasin or TLSP (trypsin-like serine protease). The protease has been investigated in the context of prostate, breast, and ovarian cancers as a candidate tumor-associated serological marker, and it participates in physiological pathways involving kinin generation from kininogen substrates and extracellular matrix remodeling.

Working aliquots stored at -20 degrees C minimize repeated freeze-thaw damage to the immunoglobulin, while the glycerol and sodium azide in the formulation maintain antibody stability during routine bench use. Western blot detection of KLK11 is achieved by pairing this reagent with a horseradish peroxidase- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibody raised against rabbit immunoglobulins, followed by chemiluminescent or fluorescent readout of the signal across species.
