Anti-KLH Antibody [KT82]

The Antibodies.com Anti-KLH Antibody [KT82] is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 reagent directed against Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH), the respiratory protein derived from the marine mollusk Megathura crenulata. Because KLH is not an endogenous mammalian antigen, clone KT82 is routinely deployed as an isotype control in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry workflows where matched subclass controls are required, particularly in studies involving KLH-conjugated haptens or carrier-protein immunization schemes. The antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation at 100 µg per vial in an unconjugated format, preserving the option for downstream fluorophore or enzyme labelling. Clone KT82 has been characterized for lack of cross-reactivity with related gastropod hemocyanins such as CCH, making it a clean negative control when screening anti-hapten responses.
