Anti-KLC1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this Antibodies.com antibody recognizes the kinesin light chain 1 (KLC1) protein in human, mouse, and rat samples. KLC1 pairs with kinesin-1 heavy chains to form the heterotetrameric motor complex that powers microtubule-based vesicular transport, and it engages membrane cargo through a series of tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) domains.

The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial that supports multiple western blot runs and immunostaining experiments. Researchers apply it to western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows to investigate axonal trafficking, neuronal cargo recognition, and motor protein regulation in the peripheral and central nervous systems.
