Anti-KISS1R Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets KISS1R (also known as GPR54 or the kisspeptin receptor), a G-protein coupled receptor central to reproductive neuroendocrinology. Raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the reagent is intended for Western blot detection of human KISS1R in cell and tissue lysates.

KISS1R signals through Gq/11 pathways upon kisspeptin binding and plays a pivotal role in hypothalamic GnRH release, making it a frequent subject of investigation in studies of puberty onset, fertility regulation, and gonadotropin signaling. Researchers commonly apply this reagent on transfected cell lines expressing recombinant KISS1R as well as on reproductive tissues including hypothalamus, pituitary, and placenta, where the receptor is endogenously expressed at biologically relevant levels.
