KIR3.4 (also known as GIRK4 or KCNJ5) is a G-protein-activated inwardly rectifying potassium channel subunit expressed in cardiac atrial myocytes and adrenal glomerulosa cells, where it contributes to membrane repolarization and angiotensin II–stimulated aldosterone secretion.

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the KIR3.4 target and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The 100 µl format provides enough material for multiple Western blot and immunofluorescence experiments, the two applications for which this reagent has been validated.

Cross-reactivity has been demonstrated with human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing translational studies that compare channel expression across species. The antibody is unconjugated, giving researchers flexibility to choose their own secondary detection reagents and labeling strategies, including HRP for chemiluminescent western blot imaging or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for immunofluorescence microscopy on fixed cells and tissue sections.
