Anti-KIFC3 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the C-terminal kinesin-14 family motor KIFC3, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous protein in human and rat samples. KIFC3 walks toward microtubule minus ends and has been studied as a complementary minus-end-directed motor to cytoplasmic dynein, with established roles in Golgi apparatus positioning under cholesterol-depleted conditions, apical transport of annexin XIIIb-associated TGN-derived vesicles in polarized MDCK II epithelial cells, and as a binding partner of the peroxisomal AAA-ATPase PEX1. The human KIFC3 gene maps to chromosome 16q13-q21, a region implicated in Bardet-Biedl syndrome, and the protein is among the most highly expressed kinesins in retina and retinal pigment epithelium, making this reagent useful for ocular and epithelial cell biology research.

Each vial contains 50 µl of antibody; for continuous use, store at -20 °C and aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
