A rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com, this unconjugated primary antibody targets KIF2C, also known as MCAK. KIF2C is a kinesin-13 microtubule depolymerase that helps correct erroneous kinetochore–microtubule attachments and promotes chromosome congression during mitotic cell division.

Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, the antibody recognizes endogenous KIF2C in human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers can apply it to investigations of mitotic spindle dynamics, chromosome segregation, aneuploidy, and KIF2C dysregulation in cancer cell lines. Cell lysates support protein-expression analysis by Western blot, while fixed cells and tissue sections can be examined for KIF2C localization.

The unconjugated 50 µl format permits selection of a suitable labeled secondary antibody for the chosen detection method. For continuous use, store at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; aliquoting can help preserve antibody performance during repeated experiments.
