The KIF20A target is a mitotic kinesin motor protein (also called MKlp2) that drives cytokinesis and Golgi reorganization during interphase. Distributed by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes the human protein and is supplied unconjugated for direct detection workflows. It is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications, enabling KIF20A expression profiling in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections. Investigators working on mitotic spindle assembly, cytokinesis failure, or tumor proliferation use it to track expression across cancer cell lines and primary tumor samples. KIF20A is frequently elevated in hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer, and gastric cancer, where overexpression correlates with poor prognosis and aggressive disease. Each vial contains 100 µl of antiserum ready to dilute for immunoblotting or chromogenic staining. For long-term stability, the antibody should be stored at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw loss of titer, with a brief equilibration to room temperature before opening to prevent condensation.
