Anti-KIF1B Antibody

A polyclonal antibody targeting KIF1B, a kinesin-family microtubule motor protein encoded on chromosome 1p36 that drives anterograde transport of synaptic vesicle precursors and mitochondria along axons. The target exists as two main isoforms, KIF1Bα and KIF1Bβ, with established functions in synaptic vesicle trafficking, mitochondrial distribution in peripheral neurons, and as a haploinsufficient tumor suppressor implicated in neuroblastoma, pheochromocytoma, and certain neural crest-derived malignancies. Loss-of-function variants in the same gene have also been linked to Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2A1, a hereditary peripheral neuropathy.

Raised in rabbit as an unconjugated IgG preparation, this reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.
