KIF16B is a plus-end-directed kinesin-3 motor protein that drives microtubule-based transport of early endosomes and anchors these vesicles at the cell periphery through its PX domain, which binds phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate (PI3P). This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human KIF16B protein and validated for Western Blot detection in cell lysate and tissue extract workflows.
Supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot, the antibody enables investigation of endosomal sorting, receptor recycling, and PI3P-dependent cargo trafficking pathways in relevant human cell lines and primary samples. Researchers studying membrane trafficking, vesicle positioning, or the mechanistic link between PI3-kinase signaling and endosome maturation can use this reagent to probe endogenous KIF16B expression and regulation.
