Manufactured by Antibodies.com as a research-grade primary antibody, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the Kinase D-interacting substrate of 220 kDa (KIDINS220), also known by the synonyms Ankyrin repeat-rich membrane-spanning protein, ARMS, and KIAA1250. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region between amino acids 1706 and 1771 of human KIDINS220, and the antibody is purified by antigen-affinity chromatography before being supplied in a 100 µl volume of 0.1 M Tris-buffered saline containing 10% glycerol at pH 7.0, with 0.01% thimerosal added as a preservative. The host species is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal with an IgG isotype, and the conjugate is unconjugated, making the reagent suitable for secondary-antibody detection systems. Validated applications include Western Blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC), with reactivity confirmed against human samples, where it is reported to detect endogenous levels of total KIDINS220 protein. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody integrity. Intended for research use only, the product is not licensed for diagnostic or therapeutic applications and is best suited to laboratories investigating KIDINS220-mediated signalling pathways in neuronal and immune cell models.
