The K23 monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes Kidins 220 (Kinase D-interacting substrate of 220 kDa), a large multi-pass transmembrane scaffold protein encoded by the KIDINS220 gene, also known as ARMS (Ankyrin repeat-rich membrane-spanning protein). This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation at 100 µg per vial and is validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Clone K23 was raised against the Kidins 220 antigen and is reactive with mouse samples, where it detects a band of approximately 220 kDa corresponding to the full-length protein. Kidins 220 functions as a downstream effector of neurotrophin signaling through Trk receptors and is also a substrate of protein kinase D, linking it to pathways that govern neuronal differentiation, synaptic plasticity, and T-cell activation. For long-term stability, the vial should be stored at -20°C in working aliquots and protected from repeated freeze-thaw cycles. For research use only; not for diagnostic applications.
