Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal antiserum, this primary antibody selectively recognizes the A isoform of ketohexokinase (KHK-A), the hepatic variant of the enzyme that catalyzes the initial phosphorylation of dietary fructose. Validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human tissue sections, the reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of ready-to-use antibody in a single vial. KHK-A is the dominant isoform expressed in liver, where fructose metabolism feeds de novo lipogenesis, making this antibody a useful reagent for studies of hepatic carbohydrate handling, metabolic dysfunction, and fructose-induced hepatic steatosis. The unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with secondary reporters matched to the chosen detection chemistry, and the human reactivity profile supports work on relevant cell and tissue models of liver metabolism.
