Anti-Keratin 7 (C-term) Antibody

This Mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody from Antibodies.com targets the C-terminal region of Keratin 7, a type II cytokeratin expressed in simple and glandular epithelia of tissues such as the lung, breast, ovary, endometrium, cervix, bladder, and salivary gland.

Validated for Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry, the unconjugated reagent cross-reacts with Human, Canine, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting both translational studies and comparative pathology research. Keratin 7 expression is routinely evaluated alongside Keratin 20 to help determine the origin of metastatic adenocarcinomas of unknown primary: a K7-positive, K20-negative profile favors lung, breast, ovarian, endometrial, or salivary gland origin, while a K7-negative, K20-positive profile is more consistent with colorectal tumors.

Beyond tumor classification, the antibody is applied in mesothelioma differential diagnosis and in characterizing epithelial lineage in cell culture models.
